• Gold band, part of the wall — The gold collar is part of the wall itself, continuous with the rest of the surface. There is no metal ring and nothing is glued on, so there is nothing to come loose.

• Indoors — Prolonged sun and frost change the material. This piece is made for indoors; an outdoor version can be produced in a different polymer, which is a design conversation rather than a substitution.
• Water and cut flowers — The wall is not sealed and is not watertight. Dried and artificial stems go straight in; cut flowers go into a slim glass or plastic insert dropped inside, never into the piece itself.
